Hi, I’m Bec - founder of Mikami.

Mikami began with a simple daily habit that became something I genuinely looked forward to.

I’ve always loved tea, the ritual of preparing it, the quiet moment it creates and the way it encourages you to slow down. But when I discovered matcha, it felt different.

It became my morning ritual. A moment to reset before the day began, a steady afternoon pick-me-up and a simple way to create more balance in my routine.

After years of drinking matcha every day, I wanted to share the experience that had become such an important part of my own life.

Why Mikami exists

I created Mikami because I wanted to make exceptional Japanese matcha more accessible. Matcha that was smooth, naturally sweet and genuinely enjoyable to drink every day.

Too often, people try matcha and assume it is supposed to taste bitter, grassy or difficult to enjoy.

But high-quality matcha is different.

When it's made from carefully selected tea leaves and crafted with care, it can be vibrant, balanced and beautifully smooth.
